Hi, I’m Cate. I’ll be checking in on this blog each week to share some of the many projects happening here at Maine Wood Heat. And because this is a family business, I’ll also be sharing some of the experiences that create and fuel our passion for family, fire, food and fun. There will be recipes for some of the tasty baked, roasted and seared treats coming out of our shop oven, too. I’m not a professional baker or chef, although I have worked in bakeries before. I’m a mama to three sweet kids, a wife to Scott Barden, a home baker and lover of healthy, delicious foods. My experience comes mainly from doing; trial and error. Food brings family and friends together and the inclusion of fire enhances that experience. I look forward to sharing our adventures with you.
