It’s been pretty hectic the past few weeks, moving into our new office while continuing to manage sales, existing orders and the ongoing day-to-day business operations. It’s unlikely you see any of us without an extra grande cup of coffee in the morning and another pot brewing by 10am. We are busy, we are happy and we are settling right in. We certainly have no complaints, but with any business, you often get lost in your to do lists. It’s times like these, a little positive feedback from a client, friend or colleague can go a very long way. This morning we opened our email to find a note from our new client Dan Woodruff who, in just a few short weeks, will be driving from his home in Michigan to pick up his mobile wood fired oven at our new headquarters here in Maine. We’d like to share his journey on our blog today because it’s inspiring, and reminds us why we do what we do…
“About three years ago, I contacted Maine Wood Heat looking for pricing on the mobile ovens. After receiving a quote, at the time, I felt that the cost of the oven was simply too high. Instead of spending that amount of money on a mobile oven, I decided to build a wood fired oven in my backyard. Attached is a thread of the photos that were taken as I worked on this backyard oven. I am sharing these photos because my design was heavily influenced by an oven that your company has built. If it had not been for the photos and drawings that you shared on the web site, I would never have been able to complete this project.
In about two weeks, I am driving to Maine to pick up my Maine Wood Heat portable oven. After having built one of these ovens, I have realized that the price that you sell your mobile ovens for is very reasonable. Thanks for your inspiration and for your dedication to the craft. I have enjoyed the journey.”
Needless to say, we didn’t need that extra pot of coffee this morning. Thank you, Dan. We look forward to seeing you soon!
