Since the Roman era Terre Blanche De Larnage, or “White Earth”, has been quarried and highly regarded by bakers as the premier oven base material in France.  Compared to the other oven materials, terra cotta, dense firebrick and cold cast refractory cement, Terre Blanche has a much better resistance to thermal shock, a faster warm up time, even radiation and smaller fuel consumption.  And most important the product is 100% organic . CORE PACKAGE INCLUDES: A stainless steel peel, door, and one to two bags of refractory mortar depending on the core size.

SPECIAL MATERIALS PACKAGES: We also offer a complete special materials package specific to each core.  They include either foamglas or skamol as a structural insulation below the hearth, 2” mineral wool for insulation over the dome, high temperature fiberglass mesh cloth to cover the dome, terre blanche grog for additional thermal mass, a stainless steel throat adaptor that transitions from rectangular to round for an 8” or 10” flue and comes with tapcon screws for attachment.  (It is for transitioning to double wall pipe with installation hardware.)  Pricing on these packages is available upon request.
