Here are a couple photos of our heater. Karen and I had it built to your customized plans in 1995. It has performed wonderfully over all of these years. At first it was our only means of heating our 2016 sq. ft. super insulated, passive solar house. Two cords of wood heated our house in those early years.

The heater does a remarkable job and will burn virtually anything. We now burn scrap wood and old broken pallets almost exclusively for very economical firewood! We recently had the chimney cleaned and the sweep couldn’t believe how long it had been between cleanings, the chimney was virtually clean when he started!

The comfort that is achieved with this massive heat source radiating from the center of our living room is astounding! I only wish I had included an oven in the design… The heater makes an excellent lifestyle statement and dramatically improves the comfort of our home.
